Manchester PR and communications agency, Refresh, has been appointed by HALT, a leader in high-performance, innovative, fire retardant timber treatments, to enhance awareness of its specialist products across the UK.
HALT, as part of the Pure Fitout Group, has recently completed several prestigious projects in London and across the UK. However, with the regulatory landscape having shifted significantly in recent years, it has invested heavily in its fire-retardant timber treatment arm, which operates from a €1.4m (£1.2m) purpose-built facility in Belfast.
The treatment itself includes impregnating timber using pressure impregnation, which prevents oxygen from reaching the treated timber. This means that, even when exposed to high temperatures in the event of a fire, the wood will simply char, rather than ignite.
While HALT has acquired widespread interest from UK firms, particularly for large infrastructure projects, Refresh has been selected to further enhance awareness of the safety, durability and sustainability of HALT’s treatment amongst construction industry professionals nationwide.
This strategic partnership will see Refresh managing all public relations activities for HALT, focusing on increasing brand visibility, securing direct contact with prospects and expanding market reach at a time in which there is significant opportunity in the market – particularly with the drive for Net Zero, meaning an increase in the use of timber, and Building Regulations requiring more robust fire performance and test data.
Libby Zbaraska, client services director at Refresh, said: “When we heard about HALT’s fire-retardant timber treatment, we simply had to be involved in shaping and sharing its story. Refresh has specialised in the construction industry since it was founded almost 15 years and, so, our knowledge around fire safety regulations and sustainability targets in the sector is widespread and in-depth.
“We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the team to understand the business and the product, as well as establishing where our support was required and how we can make the most impact. Plus, with HALT’s commitment to sustainability and fire safety, the brand’s values align with our mission to support firms that make a truly positive impact. So, we’re delighted to be working with HALT, and the Pure Fitout Group more widely, on amplifying its voice.”
Refresh has a proven track record of successful campaigns that not only increase brand awareness, but also foster strong relationships with industry leaders. The agency’s data-driven approach, combined with its creative flair, has earned it numerous industry accolades and a loyal client base. The addition of HALT to its roster further strengthens Refresh’s position as a leading PR and comms agency in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
Jason Connolly at HALT added: “When we first met with Refresh, we were instantly impressed with their industry knowledge, enthusiasm and new ideas that could help us to reach our target audiences and grow awareness of our innovative fire-retardant timber treatment. We believe that the team will make the perfect extension of our team to help us maximise our communications and expand our presence in the UK. With their expertise, we are confident that HALT will continue to grow and reach new heights.”
The collaboration between Refresh and HALT will consist of an integrated strategy encompassing media relations, social media activity and events.
