Made in Manchester has produced a special show for 6Music to celebrate the Tour de France.
Broadcast live from Leeds during Le Grand Depart, Gideon Coe at The Tour De France will be a mixture of music and cycling.
“I’ll be playing music which links up with cycling, not necessarily songs about bikes – though there are plenty of those – but music to soundtrack cycling,” explained Coe.
A passionate cyclist himself, he’ll ask Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton and Paralympic Gold medallist Dame Sarah Storey about the music that soundtracked their own cycling careers.
Airing between 10am and 11am, it will also feature an interview with 2006 Tour De France winner Oscar Pereiro live from Harewood House in Leeds – the official start point of the race.
The show is produced by Simon Crosse and is part of a weekend of cycling programmes on the station.
Made in Manchester is also behind Radio 5 live’s Pedal Power Playlist which will air from 7pm on Sunday.
