Leeds agency grabs a Chunk of Devon

Leeds agency Fusion Unlimited has landed the digital marketing brief for South West piemaker Chunk of Devon.

Matt Parker, head of eCommerce & trade marketing at Chunk of Devon, said he knew at first meeting that he wanted Fusion Unlimited’s ‘proactive’ team to increase Chunk’s digital presence across paid media. From there, their love of pies and digital marketing has continued to grow, as Fusion has provided a “seamless and hassle-free transition.”

A Chunk of Devon delivers mouth-watering pies and pasties across the UK. Originally founded in July 2006, Chunk grew out of the back of a small butcher’s shop in a little Devon village and has gone on to win over 300 rewards since.

But every recipe needs a secret ingredient and that’s what Fusion is proving to be for the company. After Matt made the difficult decision to change agencies, Fusion used the pitching process to demonstrate and dive deeper into how they would work to diligently optimise campaigns, ROAS opportunities for new strategies, keyword opportunities and P-Max activity.

Parker said: “One of the fundamental differences between Fusion and other agencies is the accessibility of their staff from the top down. Far from being an agency where the ‘grunt’ is passed to an Account Manager when the business is won, with Fusion, all members of the team are involved, know the ins and outs of the account, and will make themselves available to discuss as necessary.”

Katie Harling, joint managing director at Fusion Unlimited, added: “Matt has a great understanding of digital marketing and has worked to continually push and develop different accounts where possible, which is exactly what we are good at! Add to this the fact we get to work with such an amazing brand selling…pies! It’s a win-win!”

It seems as though everyone in the South West wants a slice of Fusion this summer, as the agency’s previous success in the food and drink industry has also seen the agency land the brief to support West Country gluten-free bakery Baked to Taste.
