Manchester’s Weber Shandwick office is celebrating a consumer travel account win from 5*Dream Gran Castillo Resort in Lanzarote.
Weber Shandwick, managing director and chair English regions & Wales, Jo Leah, said they were delighted with the win and hoped to change perceptions about the destination: “The Canary Islands have long been a family favourite in the UK but now we really want to put the Dream Gran Castillo Resort on the map as the go to luxury destination for holidaymakers and their families visiting Lanzarote.”
Based in Playa Blanca, Dream Gran Castillo Resort aims to be the number one family hotel in Lanzarote within one year and so is looking for an integrated communications plan to complement the new brand strategy and help raise awareness of its offering in the UK.
Dreamplace Hotels & Resorts sales and marketing manager Manuel Osorno said, “We were looking for fresh ideas that were both creative and strategic to align with our objectives. Weber Shandwick brought both to the table and gave us that little bit extra we were looking for with a campaign that encompassed both traditional and online ideas with travel expertise.”
Dreamplace Hotels & Resorts marketing is managed from the company’s Tenerife offices and the team selected Weber Shandwick following a cross agency selection process.
The agency’s travel team will deliver a four month campaign to raise awareness of the new brand platform and drive holidaymakers to the resort from this summer onwards, focussing specifically on British families.
