Jill Scott, Renee Slegers and Steph Houghton join the team as BBC announces bumper UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 coverage plans

The BBC has announced its full presenter lineup for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 in Switzerland, with a world-class presenting, punditry and commentary line-up and coverage across every BBC platform – TV, radio and online – set to make sure fans don’t miss a moment of the action.

Women’s Euro 2022 winner Jill Scott and Champions League winning manager Renee Slegers are joining the BBC’s line-up alongside seasoned presenters Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Jeanette Kwakye.

Scott said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be part of the BBC team for the Euros! Tournaments like this are what football’s all about; the passion, the drama, the unforgettable moments. I can’t wait to get stuck in, share some insight, and hopefully bring a bit of fun along the way too.”

With over 400 caps between them, Ellen White, Euro 2022 winner and Lionesses top goal scorer, Steph Houghton, former England captain and Fara Williams, England’s most capped player, are all part of the BBC’s unrivalled, multi-platform coverage, meaning you can catch them on your TV screen, hear them on the radio or even see them while scrolling on social media throughout the competition.

In what’s set to be a stunning tournament amongst the Swiss mountains, countryside and cities, BBC Sport will tell homegrown stories of resilience, determination and passion as the Lionesses fight to retain their title as European champions and as Wales make history, taking part in their first major competition.  

Audiences can look forward to live matches on TV & iPlayer along with live commentaries on BBC Radio 5 Live & Sounds. The BBC Sport website, app and social media will be breaking news as it happens with in-depth storytelling and viral moments.

The BBC has live coverage of 16 games on TV & iPlayer, with Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Jeanette Kwakye presenting across the 26-day competition. Jo Currie is reporting on all the latest news stories from inside England camp throughout the tournament, while Catrin Heledd and Alexandra Richards bring the breaking news from Wales camp. Catrin also presents Wales’ opening match. 

An all-star cast of experts will also bring the action to life from the studio and pitch side. Joining the BBC Sport team are Euro 2022 champions Jill Scott and Ellie Roebuck, alongside fellow Euro 2022 winner Ellen White, former Lionesses captain Steph Houghton and England’s most-capped player Fara Williams.

They’re joined by Anita Asante, former Lioness and Arsenal quadruple winner, ex-Wales international Katie Sherwood, and making their BBC Sport punditry debuts: former Netherlands star and Arsenal Women’s manager Renee Slegers, and German international Josie Henning.

Rounding off the powerhouse panel are former player and punditry-pro Nedum Onuoha and Scotland captain Rachel Corsie, all ready to deliver world-class analysis, behind-the-scenes stories, and expert breakdowns you won’t want to miss.

Robyn Cowen, Jonathan Pearce and Vicki Sparks are commentating on every minute of live TV coverage. They are joined by former England internationals Rachel Brown-Finnis, Gilly Flaherty, Izzy Christiansen and Wales international Helen Ward on co-comms. 

The BBC’s coverage kicks off with host Switzerland’s opening match, as they take on two-time European Champions Norway on 2 July. The BBC is also showing group stage games from both home nations including Wales’ opener against 2017 winners, Netherlands, on 5 July. England’s key second games in the groups – also against Netherlands – is live on the BBC, as the team look to secure a place in the knockouts. BBC Sport’s presentation team is on the ground in Switzerland for these two action-packed fixtures.

Throughout the rest of the group stages, BBC Sport will broadcast games involving some of Europe’s strongest sides including eight-time Euros winners Germany as they face Denmark (8 July), 2023 World Cup winners Spain who play Italy (11 July) and former European Champions Sweden who take on Poland (8 July). 

As we reach the knockout rounds and the competition ramps up, the BBC is showing three of the four quarter finals, one of the semi-final fixtures as well as the final on Sunday 27 July, live on BBC One and iPlayer.  

BBC Radio 5 Live, Sports Extra and Sounds have 25 live match commentaries, including every England and Wales game, so fans can follow every twist and turn until the final whistle. During the knockouts, every quarter final, semi-final and final will be available to listen to live.

Katie Smith leads presenting duties in Switzerland with commentary coming from Vicki Sparks and Eilidh Barbour, who are joined by Karen Bardsley, Izzy Christiansen and Daniel Gabbidon as expert summarisers.

On BBC Radio Wales, Nia Jones and Mark Poyser cover the first match, where Wales face the Netherlands. For the other two matches in the group stage: Wales vs France, and Wales vs England, Mark Poyser is joined by Helen Ward.       

On BBC Radio Cymru, Owain Llyr and Kath Morgan will be covering all the Wales matches. The station has also commissioned an anthem for the Euros. The Welsh language indie rock band, Adwaith, have composed and recorded an anthemic track for the station, to inspire fans and unite everyone in support of the team.    

Both Radio Wales and Radio Cymru are working in partnership with the Urdd, to give all primary pupils in Wales the opportunity to come together to sing, celebrate and inspire the Wales team ahead of the 2025 Euros by singing along to the virtual Urdd Jamboree. 

There are daily podcasts on BBC Sounds for fans wanting to follow England and Wales every step of the way, and you can search for “Women’s Euros” on the app where you’ll get even more content.

Football Daily is releasing podcast episodes every day of the tournament for those not wanting to miss a beat, interviewing players and managers from inside both England and Wales camp. Katie Smith, Ben Haines and Mark Chapman present the podcast and are joined by former Lioness Ellen White, Football Daily regular Jen Beattie, former Lioness goalkeeper Karen Bardsley and lots of exciting names from out in Switzerland. There are special fan diary episodes with comedian and football fan Maisie Adam, plus match previews right up until the final.

Feast of Football is a daily podcast available on BBC Sounds as well as a vodcast on BBC One Wales, ahead of each of Wales’ games. Carl Roberts, along with guests and players from the Wales team, bring all the news from the Women’s Euro, set against the stunning backdrop of the Swiss mountains.

On BBC World Service English, there is coverage and commentary from Switzerland on the Sportsworld and Sport Today programmes, following the highs and lows of the tournament with on-site reporters, Delyth Lloyd and Sophia Hartley. Plus, Isaac Fanin has reports and interviews on the Newsday programme.
