Channel 4’s biggest drama of 2025 is to return for a second series with Jessica Hynes (Spaced, W1A) joining the cast.
Patience averaged 4.2m viewers and filming is currently underway in York.
Produced by Eagle Eye Drama (The Couple Next Door, Professor T), the extended 8 episode series is centred around Patience (Ella Maisy Purvis), a young autistic woman who’s based at the police criminal records department of City of York Police.
Having now established herself as an invaluable member of the team, she brings her unique insight into a series of perplexing cases.
“The response and popularity of Series 1 was staggering, so I am beyond thrilled to dive back into the world of Patience for a Series 2, especially because we have some brilliant new cases to crack. Buckle up!” said Ella Maisy Purvis.
