IPB Communications has started the year with two new account wins – including its first overseas client.

IPB, which has offices in Manchester and Durham, has been appointed by Taiwanese-based GES, one of the world’s largest solar panel manufacturers, as it looks to develop in the UK.

The agency is also working with the Sheffield City Region on a campaign to ensure the region generates the maximum benefit from the HS2 route going through the City Region.

The appointment, the first under a new framework agreement IPB has with South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE), will see the team deliver a campaign that helps demonstrate the benefits of HS2.

Managing director Stewart Pimbley said: “This double win heralds a great first quarter and we are looking forward to working with GES and the Sheffield City Region to help them achieve their objectives.

“Both are very important clients and mark the further diversification of our client base.”
