Interflora prepares for Valentine’s with Prohibition

Prohibition has been appointed by Interflora, just as the company builds up to its busiest time of the year.

The Leeds agency will be working to support its “Verses for my Valentine” campaign, which started this week.

Spanning a number of channels, Prohibition, will be using social media engagement, media relations, SEO, blogger and influencer relations as well as content marketing. There is also a campaign microsite.

“Everyone in the industry now knows that public relations is no longer just about media and stakeholder relations and the world has moved on. We are delighted to be helping Interflora deliver this programme promoting the power of words as we believe many people have lost that magic ability of writing something meaningful,” said Chris Norton, founder and managing director of Prohibition.

“This exciting campaign has many different important elements and we are thoroughly enjoying delivering it. It has required careful military style planning but we love rising to a challenge.”

It has signed up psychologist and relationship “guru” Emma Kenny to front the campaign online, on radio and television.

“At Interflora we are passionate about bringing delight to every recipient of flowers and we truly feel that those truly special and personal messages can make that special moment even more extraordinary. We all felt that Prohibition’s expertise and detailed knowledge of integrated campaigns made them the number one choice to deliver a campaign of this magnitude,” added Bethany Day, brand manager at Interflora.
