Harrogate agency reports 30 per cent revenue increase, cites pandemic and internal culture as key factors

Impression's welcoming offices

Harrogate creative digital agency Impression has reported a 30 per cent increase in turnover during 2021/22 to £750K, surpassing its own 20 per cent target.

Impression assists clients including Power Sheds, Hippo Digital, Infinity Works and KAL Fitness to provide audiences with exciting and engaging digital experiences. MD and founder Charlie Hartley attributed its success to the continued increase in demand for digital services since the pandemic highlighted the importance of a strong online presence. He further cited the investment the company has made to foster its internal culture and staff retention rates.

Hartley said: “Life is all about experiences and online shouldn’t be any different. Brands that don’t evolve will inevitably fade away and consumers, now more than ever, buy into the ethos of a brand. The demand for services in the digital sector has soared and continues to do so, but this comes with challenges due to a volatile recruitment market. We’ve seen this settle down during 2022 and are seeing more stability within the team. The investment into our culture has aided this.”

Impression has expanded its team over recent months to include brand strategists, copywriters, brand designers and technical specialists. Hartley noted that this has allowed it to combine branding expertise, cutting-edge user experience design and creative excellence to build sophisticated experiences that generate a response emotionally, strategically and commercially.

Impression has also overhauled its studio to create a more creative space both for its own team and for visiting clients and expects to announce further hires in the coming months.
