Growing Yorkshire agency doubles down on digital with new hires and client wins

East Yorkshire creative marketing agency Sowden & Sowden has strengthened its fast-growing team with two key appointments, reinforcing its digital capabilities and creative offering.

Yasmin Brown joins the agency as Paid Digital Manager, bringing eight years of experience in paid search and social. She’s led campaigns for major retail brands including Argos, The Range and Joules during her time at regional agencies Summit and Green Ginger.

At Sowdens, she now leads on paid digital strategy and delivery, running performance-driven campaigns across social, search and display. Her remit spans setup, optimisation, reporting and long-term strategic development, all focused on delivering ROI and long-term value.

Meanwhile, Sam Tasker has joined as Senior Marketing Executive after making the move from an in-house marketing role at Toyota and Lexus (John Roe Group). He’s already made his mark, bringing a creative spark to Sowden & Sowden’s output across copywriting, organic social and influencer strategy, SEO, and campaign management.

Sam’s main focus lies in organic social strategy, developing content and campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube for both Sowdens and its clients. His work on SureSet’s influencer strategy has already delivered impressive returns—surpassing 14 million organic views and reaching more than 2 million individual accounts in just three months, with four viral hits.

Polly Sowden, Managing Director, said: “We’ve seen strong, sustained growth over the past 12 months, with 10 new client wins and ongoing projects expanding in scope. Acquiring the right talent is the most important key to continued growth. Hiring was – and still is – one of the most important things we do. By investing in people like Yas and Sam, we’re strengthening the team behind every campaign – bringing together strategic thinking and creativity in everything we deliver.”

The hires follow two significant milestones for the agency – achieving Google Partner status in recognition of its paid media expertise, and becoming a Living Wage Employer, cementing its commitment to a supportive and sustainable workplace culture.

Yasmin said: “The in-house creative capabilities here make a huge difference. The way strategy, content and production come together under one roof is fast-paced, agile and exciting – it’s the kind of setup I’ve always wanted to be part of.”

Sam added: “I was keen to join an established agency where I could still make a difference. Sowdens has allowed me to take a truly joined-up approach to marketing and push the creative envelope – whether it’s growing social communities, building influencer partnerships, or developing campaigns that go viral.”

Sowden & Sowden, known for delivering award-winning work across branding, strategy, content, paid media, events and video production, has also recently received a STRONG rating from Plimsoll, a key indicator of financial health and market resilience. The agency was also ranked in the top 40% of £1M+ agencies in this year’s BenchPress report by The Wow Company, excelling in areas like team engagement, remuneration, and profitability.
