Stockport County Football Club has announced the appointment of Matt McKie, an accomplished sports marketing and commercial executive, as non-executive director.
This strategic move is designed to fuel the club’s ambitious off-field growth strategy.
McKie, who has previously held leadership roles at EA Sports, FIFA, Nike, The International Olympic Committee and Manchester United, joins the existing executive board, bringing a wealth of experience to elevate the club’s brand, marketing, and digital operations.
His primary focus will be to unlock commercial revenue growth, directly supporting the Club’s aspirations for sustained success both on and off the pitch.
A seasoned professional in the sports and entertainment sectors, McKie boasts an extensive track record of delivering industry-leading marketing and commercial results for some of the world’s most recognisable brands, realised through consistently building high-performing teams that are focused on achieving exceptional outcomes.
