Former Head of Google North moves on after 16 years to join cloud data platform

The former Head of Google’s Northern operations Andrew Barke has left the tech giant after 16 years to join tech firm Snowflake.

He has announced he will move onto a new role as Account Director at global data cloud tech firm Snowflake, after a career spanning 16 years at Google.

He held various roles at Google based at its Manchester office. His previous roles included the position of Head of Agencies & Northern Operations managing the Northern operations for Google until 2019, and most recent role as Account Director at Google Cloud.

On his new role at Snowflake he said: “I’m super excited to be joining one of the most interesting and fastest growing tech businesses in the world and will be working with public sector businesses to help them be smarter with the vast amounts of data they have at their disposal.”
