Former Deutsche Bank AI guru is Cheshire life management app’s new CTO

Tika, the Knutsford-based personal admin platform, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of senior software professional Michael Clark as chief technology officer (CTO).

Michael joins from Deutsche Bank, where his role included developing AI and machine learning powered models in relation to behavioural reactions and financial forecasting, and prior to this he held a CTO role at neurotechnology and sports company Conka. He holds a Master Degree in Computer Science.

Tika, a pioneering personal admin app, has been launched to help individuals reclaim valuable time, reduce stress and enhance their ability to engage in what matters the most in life. The business is led by entrepreneur Sid Sutton, who throughout his career has spent two decades as a FTSE 100 executive, invested in and mentored over 30 SME businesses, and served as the CEO of Premiership rugby club Sale Sharks. His other business ventures include 360 Thrive, a business coaching consultancy, and fast-growing sports agency YRDS.

Sutton said: “Michael will be working alongside myself, and our strategic partners to create long-term strategy. Specifically, he will be employing his technological expertise to lead the development team, in delivering new, and building-out existing solutions to facilitate seamless integration with key partners and ensuring the continuing innovation of the Tika app.”

Designed to support users in managing their life admin by simplifying everyday tasks, Tika aims to eliminate chaos and foster a calm state of mind, allowing users to engage in more productive and enjoyable activities. The software’s highly innovative, biometrically secure ‘Tikaverse’ enables users to keep life’s essential details and documents in one place – from insurance policies and passport details to energy quotes and NHS numbers. Acting as a personal assistant, there is no more rummaging through drawers, searching for lost documents or worrying about forgotten bills, just peace of mind knowing everything is easily accessible.

Tika’s software also helps individuals find and connect with their favourite people – friends and family can be added as ‘Sidetiks’, to synchronise calendar events, collaborate on to-do lists, share important documents and set reminders.

Recognising the impact practical life complexities can have in the workplace and on individuals’ mental states, Sutton has also introduced Tika for businesses, enabling companies to equip their teams with a tool to remove life admin stress, bolster wellbeing and increase productivity in the business. In addition to demonstrating a firm commitment to the wellbeing of its team, employers benefit from a user management portal, monthly reporting, and usage analysis and recommendations.
