Andy Thompson, online and digital marketing manager at Iceland Foods has been named as the final keynote speaker at SAScon, the search, analytics and social conference.
With experience of online branding, communications and campaigns, Thompson will draw from his knowledge of working client-side for over 15 years. Since working with Iceland, Thompson has worked on high profile digital campaigns across web, mobile and social media. The digital campaigns have been instrumental in promoting the successful launch of the new online shopping offering from Iceland.
Thompson will be joining Brett Tabke, CEO and founder of PubCon, Cindy Krum, CEO and founder of MobileMoxie and Jeff Coghlan, CEO and founder of Matmi on the keynote panel. The influential keynote speakers at SAScon will take part in solo discussions to discuss the issues facing the digital marketing industry, with key topics to include international paid search and web analytics.
Thompson introduced his talk: “I’ve decided to speak about how a targeted digital campaign can drive a brand forward, and I’ll be answering questions about my experience with Iceland in particular. I found the last mini-SAScon really useful and I made some valuable connections with the other delegates.
“It inspired me to speak at this year’s SAScon and I’m hoping my insights on working client-side on a big budget client such as Iceland will spark some lively debates with the key note speakers.”
This year SAScon is partnering with us here at Prolific North as Media Partners along with Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and The Centre of Enterprise for the first time. The new partnership with MMU and The Centre of Enterprise will result in reduced-priced tickets for delegates.
This year’s conference is being held at MMU Business School on 5 and 6 June 2014. The two-day event will feature talks from four high regarded keynotes from the industry. It will also comprise of 50 unmissable solo presentations and 30 panels interspersed with networking opportunities, including a post conference social.
