Seven more days remain to enter the Educate North Awards, which celebrate the advances and improvements across Higher Education, Further Education, and Sixth Forms in the North of England.

The 2020 event on 23rd April will be hosted at The Hilton Deansgate in Manchester. It will bring together leaders from across the regional education network, to celebrate and socialise in stylish surroundings.

Given the large number of impressive entries, organisers have extended the entry deadline until midnight on January 31st.

Professor Phil Harris, Chairman of the Judges, said: “The 2019 Awards were simply breathtaking.

“It was a standing room-only event and there was a fabulous atmosphere among a set of very high-quality nominees and competitors from all corners of the North.

“We anticipate 2020 will exceed last year and we are forever planning new improvements and developments.”

Educate North 2020 is supported by Heart Yorkshire, Smooth North West and Smooth North East, alongside Communicorp UK. This year, the University of Manchester’s Masood Enterprise Centre (MEC) has been announced as the first official awards patron.

On the night of April 23rd, four students, graduates or academics will get the opportunity to take part in the University Entrepreneurs Challenge – pitching a business idea in front of the live audience. One of these will walk away with a £1,000 prize to create a specialist business plan.
