Liverpool-based creative advertising agency Poke Marketing has worked with Liverpool’s creative programme PLACED, to launch a new website.

The agency, which launched earlier this year in March, secured the project following a competitive tender process.

It has worked on the website copy, site build, look and feel, and workshop and strategy sessions for the PLACED Environmental Academy project. The Environmental Academy is a showcase of environmental design ideas from young participants.

The PLACED Academy, primarily funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram, is a free creative programme designed to inspire 14-18-year-olds about architecture and the built environment.

Mark Harrington, Creative Director of Poke Marketing said: “These ideas showcase real-world scenarios and potential ideas for solving problems. They really emphasise the power of creative thinking. We wanted to create a beautiful site that allows communities to have a look at the projects and get involved. The site harnesses people’s opinions which is so key to the success of this project.”

Jo Harrop, Director of PLACED, added: “The 2021 Environmental Academy focuses on how design in the built environment can have a positive impact on climate change. Our young participants have worked together to develop and deliver a programme of online community engagement to understand other people’s views before developing designs ideas that they believe could create better, more sustainable places.”
