The Co-operative Group is reviewing its advertising account in a move which could spell the end of its three-year relationship with London agency Leo Burnett.
It’s understood that AAR has been approached to handle the review.
A Co-operative Group spokesman told us today that a formal pitch process had not yet been launched.
Leo Burnett won the Group’s £50m creative account after a competitive pitch against Now and CHI & Partners.
TBWA\Manchester had previously been the lead agency between 2010 and 2012.
One industry source told Campaign that the latest review was a further attempt by the Co-operative to distance itself from the previous management team, which reported a £2.3 billion loss in 2013.
