Apexon, a California HQ’d, digital-first technology services company, has opened a new state-of-art facility in Sunderland to help it meet the growing demand for its digital products and services in the UK.
Apexon, which specialises in delivering technology services that accelerate business transformation, will base its UK headquarters in the city centre’s rapidly transforming Riverside Sunderland area.
The new 5,700 sq ft facility located at The Beam supports Apexon’s plan to continue investing in the UK and Europe over the coming years as it looks to provide its clients with greater access to its world-renowned digital experts.
The move will also see Apexon join Ocado, the world’s largest online grocer, and software engineering company asset55 at the business hub, as well as North East Screen, the region’s TV and film screen body.

Since it first opened an office in the Sunderland area in 2014, Apexon has worked closely with the local community to hone talent and create growth. In that time, the team has grown from 25 to over 150 employees, engaging with UK customers as well as the company’s global client base. More recently, Apexon UK has been certified as a Great Place to Work and helped to drive digital skills development in the region by partnering with Sunderland College to provide on-the-job training for T-level students.
