A new radio outlet promises to bring ‘the freshest house and biggest dance anthems’ from Liverpool to listeners around the clock.

Online app Amp Radio will have weekend shows hosted by local DJs including Camelphat’s Dave Whelan and Ian Longo.

Amp is available for Apple and Android users or via the website

A spokesperson for Amp said: “Liverpool is a very unique city with an unrivalled nightlife covering so many different scenes. Amp is all about bringing these together and giving them the platform to showcase what they are about.

“We pride ourselves on being the first to break new dance music as well as not forgetting our roots and delivering unrivalled output with old skool classics and anthems. Think of us as one big dance floor which you can take with you wherever you go.”

Since launching last weekend, the app has been downloaded more than 1,500 times.
