Bauer’s Greatest Hits Radio has announced that Jenny Powell and Debbie Mac are to join its line-up.

Cheshire-based Powell will host its new Weekend Breakfast Show, while Mac will present a weekday afternoon show.

“Greatest Hits Radio has been a permanent staple in my household over the last few months, brightening up the gloom with its brilliant playlist of the very best 70s, 80s and 90s artists and some lovely familiar voices,” explained Powell, who’s best known for appearing on shows including Top of the Pops and Wheel of Fortune.

"I’m so thrilled to be able to join the team and start to deliver some more of the ‘good times’. Why not make your new year’s resolution to try something new and join us? As The Pointer Sisters sang… I’m So Excited!!”

The show will start on 9th January at 6am.

Debbie Mac, who has guest hosted on the station after moving on from sister station Hits Radio, now takes a permanent role on daytimes.

The 2021 schedule will also see Andy Crane moving to a new late-night slot, from 10pm to 1am Sunday to Thursdays.

“Our new schedule is driven by passionate presenters playing an amazing variety of Greatest Hits that you know and love. Both Jenny and Debbie are fantastic broadcasters who bring with them a big burst of energy to kick off 2021 in the right way,” said Greatest Hits Radio’s Content Director, Andy Ashton.
