With ambitious plans within content marketing globally, Rise at Seven has appointed Clark as head of organic growth and content, managing all content within the agency and growing the sports arm across UK, US and Europe. With clients across Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and France the agency’s European content work is expanding.

He joins the senior management team, and is leading a number of client wins. Bringing a wealth of experience across editorial, TV, digital, and video, James has held several senior positions during his 10 year tenure at ITV before joining Bet365. At Bet365, he oversaw global content operations, strategy, and growth.

Clark said: “Search is constantly transforming and evolving, so to join such an innovative and renowned agency in this field is a real honour and privilege. With the continual growth of how and where consumers are searching, having an organic content marketing strategy that is tailored to your brand and customers is extremely important for all businesses. I’m extremely excited to bring my global content experience to Rise and unlock exponential organic growth for our clients.”

Rise at Seven CEO Carrie Rose added: “We have plans to treble our content output for clients in the next two years and to do that, we needed a leader who could create multi format content which pushes users down the funnel.

“At Rise, we help brands be more discoverable when exploring and evaluating online and James’ level of expertise and creativity from being the news and sports editor at ITV and leading a global function at Bet365 meant he is the perfect person to take charge of this for us.”

Addressing plans to grow the firm’s sports output, Rose said: “Our sports arm of Rise at Seven is also a key area of growth for the business. I started my career creating content marketing strategies for Ladbrokes for five years, and went on to apply my learnings from within highly regulated industries to fast moving brands in travel, fashion, beauty, finance and more. I believe if you can market a sports betting brand, you can market anything.”

Rise at Seven, founded in 2019 by Rose and now operating offices in Sheffield, Manchester, New York and London, currently works with clients including Tropic Skincare, TripAdvisor owned Viator, Ninja, Tandem Bank, Shark, Capital One, Dermalogica, and more.
