Andrew Roberts has been named as the new director of communications at Crewe-based Bentley Motors.
He replaces Wolfgang Glabus, who will move to Berlin, to become head of industrial and environmental policy at the Volkswagen Group Representation.
Roberts, currently head of brand communications, joined Bentley in 2012 from Mercedes-Benz, where he was communications director. Prior to that he held a number of senior comms roles at Land Rover for almost a decade.
“Bentley is entering a key period of product launch and I am very confident Andrew will lead our Communications team with the necessary experience and drive to deliver our goals,” said chairman and CEO, Wolfgang Dürheimer.
“I would also like to thank Wolfgang Glabus for his contribution over the last couple of years which have brought record results for Bentley Motors and wish him continued success in his new role.”
Roberts takes up the Cheshire-based role in January and will report directly to Dürheimer.
