BBC Two has announced that Bolton entrepreneurs, Terry and Lyndsay Walker will be returning for a second series of Scrappers.

The pair run Metro Salvage, the biggest scrap metal yard in the North West, and the first series brought in ratings upwards of 2m.

Production company, Liberty Bell, will return to Bolton as the business struggles to cope following the financial troubles, with money having to be spent on new equipment and training. The latter after a visit from environmental health.

The Walkers are also planning to bring their daughter Cathy into the business and transform the yard into an operation that they’d be happy to pass on to son, Jon.

It was commissioned by Tom McDonald, acting head of commissioning, science and natural history. It’s executive produced by Michele Carlisle and Jamie Isaacs.
