BBC launches new drive for digital suppliers

The BBC has launched a new drive for suppliers to work across its range of digital services.

The corporation has issued the second iteration of the BBC Digital Services Framework (DSF II), intended to update its roster of companies providing services including digital design, app development and interactive TV development.

Suppliers are required for BBC News, Sport, Weather, Children’s, Learning and Knowledge, Radio, Music, iPlayer and TV.

The framework has a term of 27 months and a maximum contract value of £5m.

The first DSF, which began a year ago, awarded contracts to 290 suppliers including Magnetic North and Aardman Animations.

The closing date for responses is January 28th, with the successful applicants to be revealed in March. Interested parties should contact maureen.gore01.ext@bbc.co.uk.
