Bauer Media has appointed a new senior content team for its Place Portfolio stations.
Ande Macpherson has been named as regional content director for the North West, handling content teams at Key 103, Radio City and Rock FM.

He’s spent the last three years as network programming director at More FM in New Zealand, and has previously held the same job at XFM and Century Networks.
John Dash has moved from Glasgow’s Clyde 1 to take on the role of regional content director for Yorkshire, with a brief to drive audience growth across Hallam FM, Viking FM and Radio Air.
Brian Paige becomes regional content director for Scotland (Central Belt) and Gary Muircroft takes the reins of Bauer Radio’s Scottish stations as regional content director, Scotland (The Regions).
Owen Ryan, group content director for North of England and Scotland, said: “This is a very exciting time for Bauer Radio. The senior content team has been hand-picked to ensure they have the core disciplines and experience necessary to create outstanding content that is readily available to all our teams.
“This will allow us to further strengthen our position in each region, delivering market-leading content to all 16 Place stations across the UK.”
Additionally, Sam Jackson has been appointed as the Place Portfolio’s new director of music, 13 years after she joined the company. Jackson replaces Gary Stein, who left in May to join Heart London.
Chris Pegg has also been confirmed as head of breakfast development across the Place stations, on top of his existing role as regional content director for Bauer across the North East.
Tom Hayes has been promoted to regional programme controller for the North East, reporting to Pegg.
All appointments will be effective from September 1, except Macpherson who joins at the end of September, and Jackson, who starts with immediate effect.
The 16 stations in the Bauer Place portfolio reach 8.8 million listeners a week.
