Verastar signs multi-million-pound digital transformation deal and hires CTO

Manchester-based business services provider Verastar Group has secured a multi-million-pound digital transformation deal to drive greater innovation and hired a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

The new investment will enable the company to deliver a single unified customer relationship management (CRM) system across all brands within the business group. 

The company has appointed senior technologist Spencer Clarkson to the newly created role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to deliver the transformation project, which will be delivered in conjunction with Salesforce, Natterbox and SnapLogic.

In his new role, Clarkson will also be tasked with optimising the group’s existing technology platforms.

He joins the company with experience from a 30-year career, where he has overseen transformative IT projects within  organisations both in the UK and across Europe.

Verastar Group comprises a number of different brands including Inspire Payments, The Insurance Octopus, Clear Business and kinex, serving eight services to more than 160,000 small businesses.

Verastar Group is headquartered in Sale, south Manchester, and has multiple offices in central Manchester, Rutherglen and Leeds.
