Former Card Factory CEO joins North East marketing firm

Karen Hubbard, the former CEO of Card Factory and Chief Operating Officer of B&M has joined a North East retail marketing firm.

She has been named Non-Executive Chair of Redu Group, a provider of employee benefit & retail marketing solutions.

Hubbard left Card Factory in December last year, and brings with her 35 years of retail experience. That includes being COO at B&M Retail for 2 years, plus 7 years at Asda, most recently as Executive Director Property and Multi-Channel.

She spent almost 20 years as a Director at BP, overseeing its Convenience Retail division.

“I am delighted to be joining the Board at Redu and look forward to contributing to the group’s strategic growth,” she said.

At Redu, she will focus on providing strategic direction to drive continued growth of its the Group’s revenue streams.

During lockdown, the Group has seen its revenues increase from £2.5 million to £9 million and it recently acquired Northumberland-based gift card and loyalty scheme specialist MBL Solutions.
