Newcastle agency O PR has added to its portfolio of clients in the homes and gardens sector with household names Flymo and McCulloch.

Lawnmower and outdoor power product manufacturer Husqvarna UK Ltd appointed O to handle its integrated PR, digital and social media strategy across both its Flymo and McCulloch brands in the UK.

O’s client roster already includes the likes of Goldsmiths and the UK’s largest holiday park operator Parkdean Resorts.

MD Kari Owers said: “Consumer brands is a growing market for us as an agency, and we are looking forward to working with the Husqvarna Group to integrate its digital content, social and PR strategies on these two reputable, revolutionary brands.

“Flymo is without a doubt the most recognisable name in the garden retail sector, and a leading lawnmower innovator, and McCulloch offers a powerful range of gardening tools that are all about giving you the power to get the job done.

“The two have distinctly different markets while being equally premium in performance so we are excited to be bringing some new ideas in this space to grow consumer engagement with their products.”

Gavin Burns, Husqvarna consumer brands trade marketing manager, added: “We have engaged O PR to look after our UK press office, influencer marketing programme and social media brand channels for Flymo and McCulloch by developing a calendar of lifestyle content that our customers will relate to. It was their clear digital thinking and 360 degree approach that convinced us they could help to build our brands into the future.

“This year sees the launch of our Flymo Mighti-Mo lightweight, cordless mower, the McCulloch ROB robotic mower and a suite of McCulloch handheld battery tools so O PR will be invaluable in getting the word out about our ever-evolving range.”
