Democracy is embarking on a campaign of “blood-pumping, adrenalin-fuelled PR” after winning a new destination marketing brief from Adventure Map.

Adventure Map is a group of nine businesses who have come together to place North Wales at the forefront of the popular boom in high adrenalin activities.

Collectively, the companies – which span the entire breadth of North Wales from Anglesey to Denbighshire – offer activities including white water rafting, zip wires, rock climbing, mountain biking, speedboat rides, paintballing, coasteering, kayaking, Segways and surfing.

Democracy will raise the profile of the businesses and the region as a whole via a rollout of digital and print engagement tactics.

Jennifer O’Grady, head of agency at Democracy, said: “An adventurous spirit is at the heart of Democracy – we get a thrill out of experimenting with new platforms and a rush from delivering on a client’s bottom line.

“So it’s a natural step for us to spread the word about the reinvention of North Wales as the UK’s adventure tourism capital. The stories behind the people, the businesses and the region are authentic, relevant and engaging.

“This is another great destination win for Democracy and our ideas are sure to get everyone’s blood pumping.”

Adventure Map marketing manager Jo Quinney added: “Democracy impressed us with their passion, creativity and thought-out approach to our brief.”

This win adds to Democracy’s growing destination marketing portfolio, which includes Knowsley Safari and The Rock retail and leisure destination in Bury.
