Virgin Trains has signed a 2 year deal to become the shirt sponsor of Preston North End.

The train company has also launched a travel partnership scheme to give supporters discounted travel on the network.

“Preston has such a great footballing heritage that we jumped at the chance to become the club’s new sponsors. We know how much PNE means to the city, one we have been proud to serve since we took over the services on the West Coast Main Line back in 1997,” stated Michael Stewart, commercial business partner for Virgin Trains.

“We are extremely excited about the prospects for the new season and look forward to hosting Simon Grayson and his team when they travel to some key games in the south. Fingers crossed they can go one better this campaign and secure a place in the Championship.”

Virgin Trains will have its branding on all first team, youth team, Academy and replica kits

Pictures of the 2014/15 with the new sponsorship are to be revealed later today.
