Banana Kick will manage a series of experiential events and activity during this year’s Randox Health Grand National Festival.

The Leeds sports marketing agency has been awarded the brief by the Jockey Club as the organisers celebrate the 40th anniversary of Red Rum winning his third Grand National.

“The whole team is buzzing and ready to saddle up for this globally famous event. Being an agency that specialises in sports and leisure marketing, this is a project that is very close to our hearts,” said Banana Kick director, Richard Flaherty.

Events include a “4D experience”, where people can watch the race on an audio visual platform and capture an image of themselves riding the famous horse.

“Banana Kick impressed us not only with their understanding of the sport, but also the imagination and innovative breadth of their thinking. We wanted an agency whose passion matched ours and we’re looking forward to delivering one of the best Grand National experiences for fans ever,” added James Rennard, senior regional marketing executive for the Jockey Club.
