It underlines the growth that Premier League clubs see in the country, with City, United and Liverpool all recently negotiating partnership agreements in the region.

This new deal for City is with Astra Otoparts, the country’s largest automotive component group and means it will become an official regional partner of the club.

“Football is a favourite sport for many people in Indonesia, regardless of age or demographic. Therefore, having a partnership with Manchester City Football Club will allow us to get closer to our potential consumers and to strengthen our commitment to globally,” explained Yusak Kristian, director of Astra Otoparts.
