An event about communications in health care will be held in Manchester in March.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is putting on the event on March 16th.

It will focus on crisis management – using the example of hospital poisoning incident – and understanding communications on an operational basis.

Speakers will include Alicia Curtis, a multi-award winning communications specialist, and Dr Margaret Hyde, Chartered Marketer, who currently lectures at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Hyde said, “This event will be particularly relevant to anyone working in the health care sector and supporting agencies.

“The aim is to demonstrate the diversity of communications within the sector looking at both crisis management and day to day operational influences.”

The event, titled ‘Communicating effectively in the health care sector’ will be held at Macdonald Manchester Hotel.

It is open to members and non-members but places are limited.
