Down at the Social has won a 3-way pitch to launch a new Italian restaurant brand in Manchester.

Vapiano will open later this year in the renovated Corn Exchange in the city centre.

“This is a brilliant win for the consultancy. We love working with food and drink brands and believe Vapiano will be a firm favourite in Manchester in no time.  The new concept for the Corn Exchange is bringing some exciting new brands to the city and we are proud to be part of it,” said Daisy Whitehouse, Down at the Social MD.

There are 152 Vapiano restaurants around the world, including London, New York, Stockholm and Sydney. This will be its third in the UK, but first outside of London.

The 400 cover restaurant will feature a 100 year old olive tree and fresh herbs on the tables.

“Working with a local company to launch Vapiano was always a no brainer for us, we’re confident in what Vapiano is and has to offer, and look forward to working with Down At The Social to bring our restaurant to one of our all-time favourite cities,” added Phil Sermon from Vapiano.
