The Rugby Football League has appointed Manc Frank to support a “new era” for the sport.
The Manchester-based agency – the Northern arm of Frank PR – has been tasked with increasing the sport’s profile, supporting individual players and clubs and promoting special events including the Super League Magic Weekend in Newcastle and the World Club Series.
The RFL last month announced it had relocated its marketing and media departments, as well as its commercial department, in MediaCityUK.
Graeme Anthony, Manc Frank general manager, said: “Rugby League is without doubt one of the world’s most exciting sports, brimming with energy and adrenaline, both on and off the pitch. Its raw power is infectious and as such its appeal is spreading rapidly across the globe – which is something we aim to replicate through our tactics and execution.”
