logo-4The independent Culture Company tasked with re-inventing Hull as the UK City of Culture in 2017 is calling on branding and marketing agencies to help them.

Following on from the Olympics and the Commonwealth games, it says Hull’s year in the cultural spotlight will be a big opportunity for an agency to create and develop a new identity designed to mirror the city’s ambitions.

CEO of the Culture Company, Martin Green, said: “Our commitment to supporting the creative industries in Hull and beyond is vital to this project and we would encourage independent agencies to get in touch.

“We want to work with an agency which can reflect the scale of the city’s ambition for the UK City of Culture project and the transformational impact we believe being UK City of Culture will have on the city.

“There is the opportunity for agencies outside the region to consider the possibility of a joint bid with a Hull-based company. Equally Hull agencies who feel they may not have quite the requisite level of branding experience may also want to consider a joint approach.”

The company is now seeking expressions of interest from specialist branding agencies and full service agencies with branding experience to work with the City of Culture team on developing an outstanding brand identity that will communicate Hull’s distinctive cultural offer to local, national and international audiences.

The team is searching for a creative agency that already possesses or is willing to acquire local knowledge of this historic maritime city.

World class talent, a passion for the arts and a strong focus on delivering high-quality branding is key to this project an potential applicants should visit the website here.
