HOME, the new Manchester-based arts centre, has appointed advertising agency KMS Media to handle its launch in May.

The £25m complex, the new home of The Cornerhouse and Library Theatre Company, will be the largest combined arts complex outside London.

KMS will be handling its national media buying campaign ahead of its opening on May 21.

“With HOME opening its doors in Spring 2015 it’s useful for us to work with an agency that understands the arts,” said Alex Bond, sales and marketing officer at HOME.

“Karen and Millie at KMS Media consistently provide an enthusiastic and informative approach to use media in new ways to ensure highly competitive results.”

The agency is also handling media for the reopening of the Whitworth Art Gallery on Oxford Road.

Tim Manley, head of marketing at Manchester Museum and The Whitworth, added: “We chose KMS to deliver our media buying campaign because of their expertise in the arts and their excellent level of customer service. We’ve made a good choice.”

KMS was established in 2012 by Karen Young and Millie Neil and works with clients including The Royal Exchange and National Museums Liverpool.
