PR and marketing agency Freshfield has won briefs from three new clients.

The Preston-based outfit has been brought in by Wigan & Leigh College, Marcus Worthington Group and the iCare Group to provide PR and marketing communications support.

Wigan & Leigh College has tasked Freshfield with managing its media relations programme and increasing the volume of course applications from 16 to 18-year-olds.

The brief for Marcus Worthington Group is to provide ongoing public relations support for its Worthington Properties and Hollinwood Homes brands, while Blackpool-based iCare are looking to raise the profile of its Peace of Mind initiative.

Simon Turner, Freshfield managing director, said: “They are great additions to our portfolio and give us an opportunity to further demonstrate our expertise in the education, built environment and healthcare sectors, respectively.

“We’ve enjoyed an excellent start to 2013 with a series of client wins and new staff appointments. Clients really value the fact we can offer a full range of services under one roof and this integrated approach coupled with a reputation for quality work is leading to a lot of new enquiries.”

Freshfield, which currently numbers 15 staff,  is the only Lancashire consultancy to hold the PRCA’s Consultancy Management Standard.
