The bathroom products manufacturer Ideal Standard International has appointed Havas PR to handle a pan European brief following a competitive pitch. The UK consumer and trade PR elements of the brief will be managed out of the Havas PR office in Manchester.
The UK PR activities of Ideal Standard were previously managed by Hill & Knowlton in London.
Ideal Standard’s UK headquarters are in Hull.
Other Havas agencies already work with the company providing advertising, channel planning and digital activities.
Kerris Bright, ISI’s chief marketing officer said: “Last year we developed a brand story and a new creative idea and expression for Ideal Standard.
“This year the emphasis is on telling that brand story to consumers, architects, designers and installers.”
To help deliver that story-telling, Havas PR will be responsible for developing a pan-European platform which work across multiple markets and audiences with Havas Manchester responsible for that implementation in the UK.

“Ideal Standard is a great brand with a compelling story to tell and the win shows the benefits of having all the disciplines under one roof and under one P&L.”
The Havas group is head-quartered in France and is quoted on the Euronext exchange. Its 2012 reported revenue was €1,778 million.
Last year the company also took a majority stake in the specialist health communications company Creative Lynx based in Manchester, now renamed Havas Lynx.
Havas Lynx employs 130 staff in Manchester and 15 in London.
