The Leeds Dock digital community will pool its creative forces next month to showcase its credentials at the Leeds Digital Festival.

Tenants including Sky’s digital campus, EE’s digital app team, web developer Epiphany and incoming Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) companies will all take part in events for those in the digital, tech, creative and start-up industries.

The six-day programme of events, from April 25th to 30th, celebrates digital culture in all its forms. The city’s emergence into an innovation hub is the subject of a film by The City Talking, ‘Digital in Leeds’, which will premiere during the Leeds Digital Festival at Leeds Dock on 25th April.

The film will pave the way for a series of events, including Lunchtime Lectures, The Digital Ladder – an opportunity for graduates and creatives to explore career paths – and The Digital Debate, which will see Sky, Epiphany and Numiko among others discuss the trends and topics of the sector.

Festival director Stuart Clarke said: “It’s an engaging set of events that will bring together some of the best in creative discussion, encompassing inspirational lectures and enterprise events that support the best in tech, digital and media brains in the North.

“Leeds Dock is central to the city’s transformation into a technology powerhouse and Leeds Digital Festival is about giving people the opportunity to connect.”

The Leeds Digital Festival is backed by Leeds City Council and TechNorth.
