MediaCityUK-based agency Rule 5 has been appointed by Bullet and Punk, two of Birchwood Price Tools’ brands.

The appointment follows a three-way pitch and sees the agency start work with immediate effect.

For power tool accessory brand Punk, Rule 5 is tasked with developing a social media presence and driving engagement with a creative content campaign.

At the same time, it will lead a conventional PR programme for wood screw brand Bullet, built around key retail partnerships, the seasonal calendar and a new product launch.

Sam Johnson, marketing manager for Punk and Bullet, said: “Rule 5’s campaign was head and shoulders above the rest, providing fresh thinking and a number of strong creative ideas that really resonate with the Punk and Bullet brands. There’s a good team fit and we’re looking forward to what we are confident will be a great year.”

Rule 5 founding director, Julie Wilson, added: “It’s always satisfying to receive a brief that challenges creativity and the Punk and Bullet briefs did just that.”

The win is Rule 5’s first client in the trade manufacturing sector. Other clients include the UCI World Track Cycling Championships and Fat Lad at the Back.
