Liverpool agency Tokyo has been appointed digital partner for Harrods, Europe’s biggest department store.

The agency, which turns six this month, will work across a range of Harrods’ ‘digital touchpoints’, including their popular magazine app.

Tokyo has also been commissioned by Kingspan (EMEA), a global leader for high-performance building solutions, to deliver a raft of brand, print and digital creative projects.

Dan James, Tokyo’s creative director, said: “We’re really lucky to be working with fantastic clients who keep us challenged, even six years on.”

The agency is also relocating from the Baltic Triangle to 3,500 sq ft of studio space at The Tempest, a new Capital & Centric development in Liverpool’s business district.

James added: “The Tempest is such a great fit for Tokyo – and not just because it has the best rooftop garden for parties in the city!”

Tokyo was founded in 2010 by Aaron Bimpson with a mission to create engaging digital campaigns within the entertainment and broadcast sector.

Over the past six years the team, primarily based at their Liverpool HQ, has delivered projects for the likes of Oakley, Capcom, Emirates, Jamie Oliver and Channel 4.
