A festival has been created, aimed at “shining a global spotlight” on the North West’s tech companies and digital talent.

Business Rocks was set up by Jonathon Cadden of Fluid Recruitment and is supported by Fatsoma and UKFast in an attempt to “redefine the technology scene.”

“Manchester deserves an event that has the production value and scale to match the ambitions of the individuals who make up this great city,” said Cadden.

Speakers will include Lawrence Jones, Amaze boss, Natalie Gross and GP Bullhound founder, Hugh Campbell.

The festival will also introduce the Innov8 Award, with £5000 direct funding and 6 months of mentoring and support going to one “exciting new prospect.”

Manchester is the country’s second largest tech cluster, with a worth of £1.9bn to the economy.

The event takes place at the UKFast Campus in May next year.
