A record quarter for Online Ventures Group has led the Manchester-based digital agency to look at expansion opportunities along the M62 corridor.

OVG secured contracts worth more than £400k over the last 3 months, including one from Tesco to create an interactive challenge using Google Tours.

It’s intending to open an office in Liverpool within the next 6 months and is also looking to the other side of the Pennines and Leeds.

“By no mean feat has the past three months been easy; it’s taken a lot of hard work and dedication by our staff, all of whom I’m very proud of. The team I have around me are like no other, we gave them the option to finish early for Christmas yet on the 23rd they were still at their desks working hard,” stated chief executive officer, Paul Yates.

“Our plans for OVG are vast, we’re continuously changing, adapting for the next digital marketing trend, and as a result have a pipeline other agencies would kill for. I’m looking forward to the next 12 months, I may even take a holiday.”

To help Yates achieve both his expansion and holiday plans, the company’s about to embark on “a mass recruitment drive” to increase staff numbers by over 30% – more than half of the new recruits will be through apprentice programmes.
