The latest Mobile Monday Manchester (MoMoMcr) takes place next week, with the local digital community discussing what the release of the Windows Phone 8 means for developers.

The free event, sponsored by Apadmi in partnership with Nokia, will hear from Nokia developer outreach manager, Riaz Ahmed; Microsoft UK tech evangelist, Andy Wigley; Rental Cars’ Graeme Wells; and APPA Mundi director, Peter Vickers.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from some of the industry’s leading authorities on mobile technology discussing the technological innovation presented by the new Windows Phone 8,” said Apadmi CEO, Garry Partington.

“The event will not only explore topical issues which are very relevant to today’s digital industry, but also provide audiences in Manchester with an ideal opportunity to learn, network and share ideas.”

Panelists will also be discussing the Windows Phone Store and what impact that may have.

Mobile Monday is an international, informal networking group established in 2000 to discuss opportunities in the sector.

This MoMoMcr event takes place at Dukes 92 on Monday 21 January between 6 and 9pm. Bookings must be made in advance and that can be done here.
