Speakers from Kellogg’s, Missguided and Virgin Trains among first speakers for eCommerce Show North

Today we can reveal the first speakers confirmed for the eCommerce Show North, set to be the biggest ever gathering of eCommerce companies, vendors and suppliers ever held outside London.

This brand new event is taking place over October 11th and 12th 2017 at EventCity in Manchester, with capacity for 4,000 attendees and 120 exhibiting businesses.

Manchester-based hosting company UKFast is the headline sponsor of the event and CRO specialists Endless Gain, eCommerce website experts Space48, Magento agency Digitl and email marketing automation business dotmailer are all on board as event partners.

Theatre sponsors to have committed to the event so far include business support network Business Growth Hub, international payments company WorldFirst, creative and data-driven digital agency twentysix, B2B marketing specialists SteinIAS and global advertising company Finch.

And today we can reveal the first five speakers to be confirmed for this ground-breaking event, which is delivered by Prolific North and Don’t Panic Event Management:

Richard Gibbons, Global eCommerce Director, Kellogg Company

Richard joined the Kellogg Company in 2010 and has held various eCommerce roles to date, including UK Insight and Account Lead, and European region lead. Since 2016 Richard has held the position of eCommerce Customer Development Director focusing on the LATAM and Asia Pac regions, whilst also continuing to work closely with the European market and customers. In his current role Richard has co-developed the company eCommerce go-to-market strategy and strategic framework. Richard was previously at Hallmark Cards International.

Sebastian Dubois, Head of User Experience, Park Group

Sebastian has been working within the e-commerce sector for over 20 years and plays a lead role in continually optimising multi-channel digital experiences for Park’s varied audiences. Sebastian and the digital marketing team at Park Group collaborate with all departments in the business to ensure big data analysis is harnessed, customer feedback and user testing is continually monitored, cutting-edge technology is explored, new payment methods are embraced, business/user needs are continually prioritised and fulfilment methods are enhanced. He has previously worked on large-scale digital projects for the likes of Tesco, The Football League, Waitrose and NetJets.

Kristal Ireland, eCommerce and Retail, Virgin Trains East Coast

An experienced digital leader and digital transformation specialist, Kristal heads up the eCommerce and Retail team at Virgin Trains East Coast. With over a decade of experience in all facets of digital marketing and technology development, she has worked with some of the UK’s biggest brands to define and deliver digital futures fit for the modern day consumer.

Mark Leach, Head of eCommerce, Missguided

Mark is responsible for the Missguided eCommerce strategy and digital experience. He’s also the product owner for company webstores and apps, executing user testing, optimisation and prioritising enhancements to improve User Experience across multiple channels.

Ross Matthews, Chief Marketing Officer, Icelolly

Ross joined holiday price comparison icelolly.com as CMO in January 2015 having previously worked in a variety of eCommerce and digital roles across the travel sector. He is responsible for the development of the comparison proposition and marketing strategy with the aim of icelolly.com becoming the UK’s leading holiday price comparison portal. icelolly.com was recently awarded Best Companies to Work For status and won Best Travel Blog at the Travolution Awards 2017.

Yesterday we also revealed the latest nine companies to have signed up to exhibit – and here’s a full list of the 41 leading eCommerce companies already involved in eCommerce Show North.

The event will feature leading exponents of eCommerce with businesses specialising in the full range of available services and solutions, including platforms, payments, analytics, security, marketing, hosting, backbone, logistics, mobile, hardware and innovation.

There will also be a huge range of industry presentations and specialist businesses talks, conference sessions and seminars.
