One Love Manchester to air live across television, radio and online

BBC One and BBC Music have revealed further details of how they will be covering this weekend’s One Love Manchester tribute concert.

Held at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground, to honour and raise funds for victims and their families, it will feature acts including Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Take That, Niall Horan, Little Mix, Robbie Williams and Black Eyed Peas.

The BBC will broadcast the concert live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and simulcast across BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC World Service and BBC Radio Manchester. It will also facilitate for international networks and commercial radio.

Sara Cox, Ore Oduba, Nick Grimshaw and Anita Rani will present the BBC One coverage, while the BBC radio stations will simulcast a programme hosted by Scott Mills, Jo Whiley, Phil Williams and Becky Want.

“The One Love Manchester concert on Sunday will be a very special occasion that resonates throughout Manchester, around the UK and across the globe. BBC Music will unite radio services with BBC One to offer the best possible coverage of this unique national event,” said Bob Shennan, director of Radio and Music.

All net proceeds from the show will go towards the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, set up by Manchester City Council, in partnership with the British Red Cross.

The programme was commissioned by Jan Younghusband, head of commissioning, BBC Music. Television coverage will be executive produced by Guy Freeman, editor special events and formats, BBC Studios.
