Prolific North understands that an announcement about Bay TV’s future will be made next week.

It had been hoped that a positive outcome for the hyperlocal station would be revealed by today, however, this has been delayed.

Earlier this week, employees of the company were sent letters saying that the company had been placed into administration.

That’s despite it being one of the main success stories of the hyperlocal revolution set up by former Culture Secretary, Jeremy Hunt.

Those behind the company remain positive about its future and it has continued to broadcast as usual.
