Craig Stewart has been appointed as Programme Controller for Smooth Radio North East, replacing Jon Kirby who left to join a station in Dubai.
Stewart is currently afternoon drive producer on Heart North East, and was previously station producer for Real Radio the North East and Yorkshire.
He’ll work with Smooth North East’s team including breakfast presenter Steve Colman and drive time’s Clive Warren.
Stewart joined the former GMG Radio Group as an assistant producer in 2004, at Smooth Radio North West, before moving to Wales to become station producer at Real Radio Wales.
