petsA new TV campaign focussing in on the lives of pet owners will be launched this evening featuring Pet at Home.

The campaign was developed by krow communications in conjunction with a team of agencies including Carat Manchester, Shoot the Moon and Havas PR Manchester.

They worked with documentary filmmakers to edit together the final film, My Pet Moments, into one poignant story of owners’ lives with their pets for the Cheshire-headquartered firm.

The films followed on from a campaign last year, when Pets at Home collected social media film clips from pet owners across the UK. It became the retailer’s most successful social media campaign, with more than 13,000 photo and video clips uploaded, leading to the launch of the first ever crowd-sourced pet TV campaign.

The new, 30 second advert will continue to follow the same theme as last year’s adverts using the same crowdsourcing methods and it will highlight the services which Pets at Home offers in store.

Marketing director Scott Jefferson, said: “My Pet Moments has been created by us and our customers to celebrate the unique relationship UK pet owners have with their pets.

“Following on from the success of last year’s crowd sourced advert we decided to continue to source ‘home made’ videos from pet owners across the UK and use them in the new advert.”

The advert debuts on Wednesday 15 April during the first advert break of ITV’s new show, Give a Pet a Home, and will run until the 30 April.
